The Weekend.

Date added: 10th October 2011

Work was put to a standstill Saturday morning whilst the big four northern hemisphere teams battled it out in the Rugby World Cup for a place in the semi-finals. Congratulations to the winning teams and commiserations for those who never made it.

Vat number two was soon filling up thanks to the help from some friends who normally spend their time on the other side of the world surfing and basking in the sun. We also managed to rope in our account manager from ZigZagAdverstising and a couple of local friends.

With such a fine team it did seem at one stage the vat might be filled but being a Saturday this was not going to be another 21:00 finish. The gentlemen put in a fine effort up till 17:00 when we decided to clean down and go have a drink up the local.

It has to be said that four out of the five volunteers have never pressed cider before so some training was needed, which they must of taken onboard because after a few presses they could be left on their own whist an inspection was carried out on our orchard.

Sunday was a day of rest for Cider making and time was spent catching up with family and friends with a fine dinner and some good conversation.
