Almost There.

Date added: 10th October 2011

Another day and another tonne and a half done. It started out quite slow this morning with four presses being completed by a solo mission but a helping hand arrived in the afternoon to take over the laborious work of shovelling and washing the apples.

Starting off with the apples from our young orchard, just under a tonne was collected; there was a hint of excitement in the air for the first press. The apples were large, ripe and full of flavour which we tasted straight from the press and it was good.

So with two people on the task VAT number two is now filled two thirds of the way and will be finished off tomorrow with a little help from the gardener. This means the bright lights of London will soon become home again and the dark nights of Dorset will be missed until Christmas.
Almost There.
